I’m a 22 year old web development and IT enthusiast from Redcliffe, Australia. I currently work in IT Support for a small company but am still interested in opportunities in web site development.

Empowered learning
While at Empowered Learning I both redesigned their company website and brought them over from an ASP site to a modified PHP CMS framework. FrogCMS served as the foundation and was modified to suit their needs.
QuoteDB (Personal)
This personal project was admittedly just an exploration into the CakePHP framework in 2008. It implemented fairly advanced database queries and a well formed MVC structure. Most of the website works however it was never truely finished due to starting another job during this time.

Education
- In 2004 I completed school.
- In 2006 I completed a certificate 3 in IT, the course briefly looked into HTML and Linux.
- In 2007 I completed a diploma in IT that focused on Web Development, covering HTML, CSS, Java, JSP also setting up Apache Tomcat and MySQL servers in a Windows enviroment.
- In late 2007 to mid 2008 I taught myself several other languages including PHP and JavaScript, looked into many frameworks (focused many on the CakePHP framework) and content management systems. Also at this time I gained a lot of experience setting up and maintaining my own Apache, MySQL server in a Linux environment.
- In late 2009 and early 2010 I started learning Python and how to develop applications effectively using the CodeIgniter framework.
